Job Description
TITLE
Instrumentation Coordinator - Sterile Processing Specialist

SCHEDULE
Primary shift: 3rd Shift - 6:00 pm to 6:30 am, Friday-Sunday (occasional scheduled holidays)

REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 3+ years of sterile processing experience in a high-volume facility
- Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Certifications: CBSPD or CRCST (through HSPA)
- Experience with sterilization processes (Sterrad and steam)
- Proficient in instrument decontamination, manual cleaning, and assembly of instrument sets across service lines
- Experience with high-level disinfection and scope reprocessing
- Familiarity with tracking systems and instrument management

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare, sterilize, assemble, track, and distribute surgical instruments
- Ensure aseptic packaging and functionality of instruments
- Serve as a clinical liaison between operating rooms and offsite central sterile supply locations
- Monitor sterile storage, tray and packaging selection, and functionality checks

COMPLIANCE / NOTES
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
- Urgent credentialing requirements including background checks and compliance deadlines apply
