About the Position

Job Title: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST) Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Pediatric OR CST Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (06:30 - 19:00) Experience: Minimum 1 year of continuous scrub experience; experience in ophthalmology, neuro, and ENT required. License: South Carolina RN License preferred. Certifications: BLS, NBSTSA required. Must-Have: Clienttion badge provided by agency; flexibility to float between sister units. Description: Position is for a Pediatric OR CST. Shifts are 3x12 hours from 6:30 AM to 7 PM. There may be a need to modify to 4x9s to accommodate a sister unit. On-call requirement is necessary, with 3-6 shifts in a 4-week schedule period. Weekend requirements are expected around the holidays, with potential holiday call required. Experience with pediatric and adult surgeries is necessary. Common procedures/surgeries include lap appy, ortho trauma, polytrauma, and craniotomy. First-time travelers are accepted. Local candidates will be considered on a case-by-case basis. All requests for time off must be included at the time of submission. The facility has the capacity to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks. All candidates must have a South Carolina RN License issued or active prior to reporting. Travelers should be aware of emergency response requirements during hurricane season, which runs from June through November. Compliance processes must be completed promptly to meet pre-start requirements. Each candidate must provide proof of submitted South Carolina license application if pending. Candidates with 7 or more days of time off, including holidays, will require submission for facility approval. All positions are flexible based on facility needs.
