About the Position

Job Title: Rapid Response Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 6 weeks Shift: Nights and Days Hours per Shift: 48 Experience: 2+ years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery License: RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, SVE competency, C-Section circulation Description: This position requires readiness for over 1,000 deliveries per month. The unit has a total of 32 beds and a staff of 150. Patient ratios are maintained at 1:1 or 1:2. Equipment utilized includes Novii, JADA, Fetal Pillow, IUPC, FSE, Toco, and ultrasound. The electronic medical records system in use is Meditech. Candidates must have competencies in external fetal monitoring and C-Section circulation. Preferred candidates will have internal monitor placement competency. Experience in a Level IV unit is a plus. Common procedures performed in this unit include spontaneous vaginal deliveries, cerclages, and C-Sections. Team players with a positive attitude are encouraged to apply. Dress code includes navy blue scrubs, with solid blue, black, or grey sweatshirts only. Attendance policy adherence is required. The unit values new technology and equipment, as well as the tenure and experience of its staff.
