RD | Registered Dietitian - Full Time Days

Join a dedicated healthcare team providing comprehensive medical nutrition therapy to patients across all age groups in an acute care environment. This role involves delivering nutrition education to patients, families, and healthcare staff while collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team.

Essential Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough nutrition assessments utilizing the nutrition care process.
• Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records.
• Provide tailored medical nutrition therapy interventions.
• Support menu planning and participate in related projects as needed.
• Serve a diverse patient population ranging from pediatric to geriatric.
• Adhere to privacy and security regulations concerning Protected Health Information (PHI).
• Maintain professional and effective communication with patients, families, healthcare team members, and external partners.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics is required.

Licenses and Certifications

Must be registered or eligible for registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensed in the applicable state. Registration must be obtained within one year of hire if not currently registered.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Basic knowledge of enteral and parenteral nutrition.
• Strong multitasking and time management capabilities.
• Fundamental nutrition assessment skills.

Physical Requirements

Light physical work involving occasional lifting up to 25 lbs and frequent lifting up to 10 lbs. Standing or walking may be required 11-25% of the workday, with or without accommodation.
