About the Position

Setting: Adult ICU | Teaching Hospital
Start Date: November 2026

Opportunity Highlights

• Flexible day and night shifts: 6 AM–7 PM or 6 PM–7 AM
• Weekend-focused coverage , including Friday nights
• Minimum 2 weekend shifts per month
• Ideal opportunity for a provider seeking consistent weekend and/or night coverage
• Work alongside an experienced critical care team in a high-acuity teaching environment
• Epic EMR
• Average daily census of approximately 7 patients
• 10-bed adult ICU
• Supportive physician and advanced practice provider team

Clinical Responsibilities

• Round with the attending physician
• Evaluate and manage ICU and Med/Surg patients
• Complete daily clinical tasks and follow-up
• Serve as a responding clinician for the ICU team
• Bread-and-butter critical care cases, including limited burn patient exposure
• No procedures required — no intubations, central lines, ventilator management, EVDs, or transplant cases

Requirements

• Physician Assistant with Acute Care/Critical Care experience
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience
• Active Massachusetts PA license or ability to apply promptly
• BLS and ACLS
• DEA
• Strong ICU/critical care background
