Job Title: Respiratory Care Practitioner Therapist Reg Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: CRT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12-hour Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: LA State License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, CRT, RRT Must-Have: Must have LA State License in hand upon application. Must have BLS and ACLS certifications. Must be comfortable working in emergency situations as assigned. Description: This position is for a Respiratory Care Practitioner Therapist. The therapist will primarily work during night shifts. The role includes working with an adult patient population. Emergency situations may arise where the therapist must remain until the event passes. A minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty is required. Certifications required include BLS, ACLS, CRT, and RRT. Candidates should be able to perform various critical care respiratory procedures. These procedures include aerosol setup, intubation assistance, and tracheostomy care. Experience with Epic charting system is also necessary. Candidates should be prepared for potential weekend coverage every other weekend. This position may accept first-time travelers. Candidates must comprehend the requirements of the role before applying. References from previous managers or supervisors may be required upon contract clearance.
