Teaching Assistant

POSITION: Post-Baccalaureate Teaching Assistant (2 positions) DEPARTMENT: Post-bacc/Pre-Med Studies REPORTS TO: Associate Dean, Borra College of Health Sciences HOURS NEEDED PER WEEK: 10-15 hours/week HOURLY RATE (OR RANGE): $15.25/hour DATES OF EMPLOYMENT (APPROXIMATE): Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 EXPECTATIONS FOR ALL DOMINICAN EMPLOYEES To support the University’s mission of preparing students to pursue truth, to give compassionate service, and to participate in the creation of a more just and humane world. JOB COMPONENTS//PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Attend and assist in lectures and labs. Help students on an individual and group basis. Assist in writing and grading assignments and exams. Manage online grade book. Set up and update blackboard website. xx. Performs other duties as requested, delegated or assigned. BASIC COMPETENCIES (Required knowledge, skills, abilities) Must have taken the class with which they are assisting in, or the equivalent. Must have a strong knowledge of the subject matter. Must be comfortable with blackboard and online grade books. Must be able to communicate with the class via e-mail.
