Job Details Compensation: $15-$17 per hour. Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (no weekends required). Summary The Traffic Coordinator is responsible for efficiently directing vehicular traffic and providing exceptional hospitality services. Responsibilities include issuing valet parking tickets, enforcing parking policies, retrieving guest vehicles, and assisting guests with luggage. Essential Functions Direct vehicle traffic while providing friendly service to all patients and guests; assists marketing department with targeted marketing efforts (25%). Maintain a professional demeanor, use proper greetings, and adhere to telephone etiquette (25%). Assist guests with directions, inquiries, and maintain confidentiality per HIPAA requirements (25%). Obtain event and rate information, maintain claim checks and folio archives, and park and retrieve vehicles promptly (25%). The total amount of time for all functions of the job: 100%. Qualifications Education High school diploma or GED. Licensure & Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age. Work Experience One to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent education and experience if no HS diploma or GED. Knowledge Knowledge of traffic and valet procedures. Skills Read and write standard English and comprehend simple instructions and memos. Write simple correspondence. Present information effectively in one‑on‑one and small group settings to guests, clients, and employees. Perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) with units of money, weight, volume, and distance. Understand 24‑hour and military time systems. Understand rates applicable to time passed. Preferred: customer service, register/computer experience. Must be able to drive manual transmission and perform parallel parking. Scope Authority to Act Job is routine; incumbent follows established procedures and receives specific directions. Decisions are made within departmental guidelines. Errors could affect smooth operation. Budget Responsibility Employee has control over available resources only. Working Conditions & Physical Demands Required to talk or hear, sit or stand for extended periods, run, walk, handle objects, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Vision requirements include near and distance vision, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 25 pounds frequently, or greater than 10 pounds constantly. Work is primarily outdoors for extended periods with exposure to extreme heat and cold.
