Accounting Assistant (Contract)

Pay: $20.00/hour Schedule: Monday through Friday, hybrid schedule after 1 week onsite orientation Duration: Minimum 3 month contract with potential for extension

Position Overview: We are seeking a detail oriented Accounting Assistant to support daily finance and accounting operations. This role will assist with payroll and accounts payable related activities while providing administrative support to the finance team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, is highly organized, and can manage multiple responsibilities in a fast paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support finance and accounting operations through administrative and clerical tasks
• Assist with payroll data entry and accounts payable activities
• Distribute mail, checks, and other finance related documents
• Respond to inquiries from employees, vendors, and other stakeholders
• Maintain accurate records, files, and documentation
• Assist with data entry, reconciliations, and other finance projects as assigned
• Prepare reports and provide general support to the finance team
• Utilize Excel and accounting software to complete daily responsibilities

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an administrative, accounting, payroll, or finance support role preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally

Additional Information
