Clinical Research Coordinator – Adult Cardiology Location: Baltimore, MD (Hybrid – 4 days onsite / 1 day remote) Schedule: Full-Time | 40 hours/week Contract Length: 3 Months Start Date: ASAP Pay Rate: $30–$34/hour Position Overview: We are seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to support an Adult Cardiology research team in Baltimore, MD. This individual will help maintain continuity across multiple active and upcoming clinical trials while supporting patient-facing coordination, regulatory activities, and study startup efforts. The Clinical Research Coordinator will work closely with investigators, clinicians, and research teams across multiple campuses to ensure studies remain on track, patients receive proper support, and all research activities align with protocol and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate active clinical research studies while ensuring protocol adherence and study timelines are maintained Support patient-facing activities including patient screening, scheduling, enrollment, and study visit coordination Conduct and assist with study visits, including: Bloodwork/blood draws (phlebotomy preferred but not required) EKGs Vital signs Patient questionnaires 6-minute walk tests and other clinical assessments (training provided if needed) Coordinate patient follow-up visits throughout study participation Work closely with elderly patient populations while providing strong communication and patient support Identify, document, and assist with reporting adverse events to IRBs and study sponsors Maintain accurate regulatory documentation and clinical research records Assist with study startup activities including new trial activation and enrollment readiness Utilize Epic for patient tracking and research workflows Collaborate cross-functionally with physicians, investigators, clinical teams, and research staff Ensure compliance with IRB guidelines, sponsor requirements, and study protocols Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required 1–2+ years of Clinical Research Coordinator experience Experience working directly with patients in a clinical research environment End-to-end clinical trial coordination experience, including: Patient screening and enrollment Study visit execution Data entry and query resolution Overall trial coordination/management Experience performing or supporting clinical assessments such as vitals, EKGs, questionnaires, or physical function testing Experience with Epic or other EMR systems strongly preferred Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple studies at once Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse patient populations Preferred Experience: Cardiology clinical research experience Phlebotomy experience Experience supporting study startup activities Experience working with elderly patient populations This is a great opportunity for a Clinical Research Coordinator looking to gain experience supporting a high-impact Adult Cardiology research program while collaborating with experienced clinical research professionals.
