Duration: Full time Opportunity
Location : Columbus, OH Pay Range : $19/hr - $20/hr Day to Day:
- Drive hostlers and big rigs to position containers and chassis, backing up under cranes and parking in designated spots.
- Connect and disconnect hitches and air hoses, clipping and unclipping safely on the ground crew.
- Climb up and down rail cars while performing pre- and post-use equipment inspections.
- Maintain clear lines under cranes and coordinate moves with yard personnel and supervisors.
- Valid driver's license (no CDL required) and open availability for swing or night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, climb ladders/stairs on railcars, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols in a strict, high-priority industrial environment.
- Clean background check meeting Federal Railroad Administration / e-Rail standards (no theft convictions) and ability to pass a 5-panel oral fluid drug screen.
- Previous outdoor or hands-on experience in landscape, delivery driving, or forklift operation.
- Prior experience in intermodal or rail yard operations.
- Familiarity with container handling equipment such as hostlers, top loaders, side loaders, or cranes.
