Specialized Nursing Care In Ir/Special Procedures

Provide specialized nursing care focused on advanced procedures and patient assessments within the IR/Special Procedures setting. Deliver comprehensive patient evaluations, prepare patients for procedures, and ensure safety protocols are followed throughout interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough head-to-toe patient assessments, recognizing complications early.
• Explain procedural steps to patients and families, addressing concerns effectively.
• Assist in performing a variety of invasive and non-invasive procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Manage vascular access devices, including IV insertions and central line care.
• Monitor patients during procedures, including sedation administration and equipment operation.
• Collaborate with radiologists and team members to coordinate patient care and respond to emergencies promptly.

Qualifications:

• Hold valid RN licensure with current licensing standards.
• Demonstrate experience with line management, IV insertion, and vascular device care.
• Possess proficiency in airway management and procedural sedation techniques.
• Show ability to interpret cardiac telemetry and perform defibrillation/cardioversion.
• Experience with IR or special procedures in radiology or vascular settings preferred.
• Ability to work quickly in dynamic environments, adjusting to new protocols and responsibilities.
