Full-Time | Sunday-Thursday | Starting wage: $18-$20/hour Lucy's is looking for a full-time Baker to join our small, growing bakery team. This is a hands-on, from-scratch production baking position producing breads, pastries and desserts for Lucy's as well as other Essence Hospitality Group restaurants and local wholesale accounts. If you have solid kitchen experience, an eye for detail and an aptitude for baking, we’re willing to train. Baking experience is preferred but not required. The Schedule This is a Sunday-Thursday, morning position with approximately 8-hour shifts. Monday-Thursday: 4:30 a.m. start Sunday: 5:30 a.m. start Consistent hours with some flexibility based on production needs No nights The early-morning start time is an essential part of this position and is non-negotiable. May require driving the company van and deliver bakery products to our local accounts. What You'll Be Making Our bakery produces a wide variety of from-scratch products, including: Breads Pastries and laminated pastries Cookies Donuts, including frying and decorating Cakes Plated dessert components Retail baked goods for Lucy's storefront Baked goods for EHG restaurants and wholesale accounts, including local coffee shops and hospital accounts What We're Looking For Previous kitchen experience required Baking experience preferred, but we will train the right person with a strong aptitude for baking Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to accurately scale ingredients and follow formulas Basic math skills Clean, organized work habits Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a small team Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Dependability, particularly with early-morning start times Cake decorating experience is welcome, but this is not a cake-decorating position. Why Lucy's?
