- Conducting thorough patient evaluations, recommending diagnostic procedures, and devising individualized care regimens
- Identifying and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health issues independently or in concert with physicians (based on your credentials)
- Guiding patients and their families on prevention, wellness, and effective disease management strategies
- Prescribing medications and therapies according to your practice scope
- Engaging in patient follow-up and the management of chronic care
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to provide coherent and comprehensive care
- Maintaining meticulous and accurate documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Completion of a recognized Nurse Practitioner training program
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Nebraska
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent specialty certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Strong clinical judgment enhanced by a caring demeanor
- Outstanding communication abilities with patients, their families, and healthcare teams
- Flexibility in fast-paced, patient-focused settings
- Competence with EMR systems and comfort using telehealth technologies
