Building Automation Controls Service Technician

Snapshot / Role Overview
We're seeking a Building Automation Controls Service Technician in Manassas, VA to maintain and optimize BAS systems while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on building automation systems
- Diagnose and troubleshoot BAS controllers, sensors, and field devices
- Commission new control systems and verify proper operation
- Program and configure BAS front-ends and controllers as needed
- Respond to service calls and resolve client issues promptly
- Document all service activities and maintain accurate records
- Coordinate with clients to schedule work and minimize disruptions
- Identify opportunities for system upgrades and improvements

Requirements
Must-Haves
- 3+ years of experience with building automation or controls systems
- Working knowledge of BAS platforms (Tridium Niagara, Distech, Siemens, or similar)
- Understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical equipment
- Ability to read and interpret control drawings and sequences
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Nice-to-Haves
- Niagara N4 certification or manufacturer-specific training
- EPA 608 Universal certification
- Experience with BACnet, Modbus, and networking protocols
