Once Upon a Child Mankato is looking for a creative, organized, and motivated Inventory & Social Media Associate to join our growing team!

This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children's fashion, creating engaging social media content, and keeping a busy retail store organized.

We're looking for a self-starter who takes initiative, pays attention to details, and can manage multiple responsibilities without constant supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management

• Process, tag, organize, and merchandise incoming inventory.
• Help maintain organized sales floors, racks, and inventory areas.
• Identify current trends, popular brands, and seasonal merchandise.
• Monitor inventory needs and help identify products that need attention.
• Assist with preparing merchandise for store events, promotions, and seasonal launches.
• Maintain accuracy and organization when handling inventory.

Social Media & Content Creation

• Create engaging content for Facebook & Instagram.
• Take quality photos and videos of merchandise, store displays, and new arrivals.
• Create Reels, short-form videos, and promotional content.
• Assist with daily posts, stories, and marketing campaigns.
• Stay informed about current social media trends and creative marketing ideas.
• Help promote upcoming sales, special events, and new merchandise.

Store Operations

• Work collaboratively with management and other team members.
• Assist with merchandising and store organization.
• Help customers when needed.
• Complete assigned tasks accurately and on time.
• Take initiative and identify projects that need attention.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Creative mindset and attention to detail.
• Comfortable using social media platforms, particularly Facebook & Instagram.
• Ability to take appealing product photos and create short videos.
• Comfortable learning new software and technology.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Dependable, motivated, and willing to learn.
• Previous retail, inventory, or social media experience preferred.
