Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A retail pharmacy is seeking an experienced Staff Pharmacist for a per diem opportunity in Hudsonville, MI. This role offers the chance to work alongside a small, dedicated team in a fast-paced retail environment powered by the Pioneer RX computer system. Reliable and detail-oriented professionals with a Michigan Pharmacy license and retail pharmacy experience are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Dispense and verify prescriptions accurately adhering to state and federal laws.
- Counsel patients on proper medication usage and potential side effects.
- Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and fellow pharmacist to manage daily workflow.
- Maintain proper documentation and records using Pioneer RX.
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the pharmacy during high-volume shifts.
Schedule:
- September 14, 15, 16, 21: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- September 18: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Environment:
- Retail pharmacy setting
- Staff consists of one other pharmacist and 5-7 pharmacy technicians
- Typical script volume ranges from 600 to 800 on Mondays and 300 to 500 on other assigned days
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid Michigan Pharmacy licensure required
- Proven retail pharmacy experience with strong dispensing knowledge
- Familiarity with Pioneer RX computer system a plus
- Ability to manage high-volume prescription filling calmly and efficiently
