The facility is a hospital-based outpatient clinic providing specialized infectious disease services to the regional patient population. The clinical environment is staffed with NP/PA, RN, and MA support, and is structured to accommodate locum tenens coverage across defined assignment periods. The facility maintains established protocols to support quality outpatient infectious disease care delivery.

Fort Wayne offers clinicians on assignment access to a range of cultural and recreational attractions. The city features the Fort Wayne Zoo, the Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory, art galleries, history and science museums, and an active downtown area with parks and theaters. Outdoor pursuits including golf courses, hiking trails, and bike tours, along with community events such as film festivals and outdoor festivals, provide varied options during time away from clinical responsibilities.

The infectious disease physician will provide outpatient clinic-based care Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, managing 20 to 30 patients per day. Clinical responsibilities include the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of infectious disease conditions. The clinician will collaborate with support staff including NP/PA, RN, and MA personnel to ensure continuity and quality of patient care. Call requirements are negotiable for this assignment.
