- Develop a deeper understanding of contract manufacturing, production costs, and project profitability
- Help drive improvements in financial processes, cost analysis, and operational reporting
- Position yourself for continued professional growth within an evolving accounting and finance department
- Oversee cost accounting and financial tracking for specialized manufacturing contracts and projects
- Calculate and record percentage-of-completion revenue under ASC 606 guidelines
- Evaluate WIP balances, direct labor, material costs, and production-related variances
- Work alongside production teams to assess project spending, margins, and overall financial performance
- Analyze financial statements and ensure accurate recognition of manufacturing costs and revenue
- Contribute to monthly closing activities, general ledger reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Recommend enhancements to accounting procedures, cost controls, and reporting efficiencies
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years focused on manufacturing or cost accounting
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- Demonstrated knowledge of job costing, contract accounting, or project-based manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with ASC 606 and hands-on percentage-of-completion revenue recognition highly desirable
- Strong foundation in GAAP, financial statement analysis, and manufacturing accounting practices
- Experience supporting aerospace, defense, industrial manufacturing, or custom production operations preferred
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong Excel proficiency, and confidence working across accounting and operational teams
