At Prava, we're looking for a Part-Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team in a gated senior living community in Aliso Viejo serving Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care residents.
And we're looking for someone who wants to practice OT where life actually happens.
We don't just work bankers' hours.
Because residents don't live bankers' hours.
For this position, we're particularly interested in a COTA who sees the value of evening ADL intervention .

Getting ready for dinner.
Dressing.
Grooming.
Toileting.
Positioning.
Transitioning into the evening.
Preparing for bed.
Managing the environment.
These aren't just tasks.
They're occupations.
And they can be incredibly meaningful therapy opportunities.
We want you to look beyond the impairment.
Don't just ask:
“What can we strengthen?”
Ask:
“What does this person need to be able to do?”
Don't just ask:
“What is the diagnosis?”
Ask:
“What is getting in the way of the life they want to live?”
And don't automatically blame the resident.
Look at the environment.
Can we adapt it?
Can we change the routine?
Can we teach a strategy?
Can we help the resident succeed in the moment that matters?

Your role
You'll work alongside our OT team to provide meaningful, occupation-based care across IL, AL, and Memory Care.
You'll have opportunities to:

• Provide ADL and IADL intervention within the plan of care

• Incorporate therapy into real resident routines

• Focus on meaningful evening ADLs and routines

• Address functional cognition, safety, environmental demands, and participation

• Support independence and dignity

• Collaborate with caregivers and community teams

• Build relationships with residents and understand what matters to them

• Help carry therapeutic strategies into everyday life

We're looking for a COTA who:

• Loves working with older adults

• Thinks occupation-first

• Gets excited about real-world ADL training

• Believes the environment can be part of the solution

• Is comfortable working across IL, AL, and Memory Care

• Builds relationships naturally

• Wants to practice creatively and clinically

• Doesn't believe every therapy session needs to happen in a therapy room
