Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students this fall by bringing your occupational therapy expertise to a dynamic school setting in the San Juan Capistrano area. A full-time contract position is available for the fall semester, providing essential support as a valued Occupational Therapist. This opportunity arises as a leave of absence cover, and you'll step into a welcoming, collaborative environment at Marblehead Elementary School, working with a diverse elementary-age caseload.

Your school-based OT experience allows you to adapt quickly and deliver effective interventions right from the start—perfect for someone confident in managing a school caseload and eager to support students’ functional abilities and participation throughout the school day. While full-time attendance is preferred, part-time applicants are also encouraged to apply.

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Active California OT License
• Prior school-based experience required
• Comfortable working onsite; teletherapy not available
• Ability to independently manage therapy tasks (no COTAs)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide therapeutic interventions to elementary students to strengthen fine motor, sensory, and self-help skills
• Assess students’ needs and develop individualized intervention plans
• Collaborate with educators, special education staff, and families to support each child's IEP goals
• Maintain documentation and communicate student progress effectively
• Participate in meetings to update on student progress, share insights, and stay aligned with district changes
