Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist to contribute clinical expertise and ensure safe, effective medication use within an inpatient hospital setting. This role requires strong inpatient pharmacy experience and Ohio licensure to excel in medication management and collaborative patient care.

Job Type: Contract (minimum 8 weeks)
Start Date: 10/12/2026
Schedule:

• 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday 7:30 am – 6:00 pm
• Occasional Saturdays 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
• On-call coverage required after some shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and review medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, dosing, allergies, interactions, and contraindications
• Accurately enter and process medication orders using the EPIC order entry system
• Prepare and dispense inpatient medications, including intravenous (IV) sterile compounding as needed
• Monitor IVs, antibiotics, total parenteral nutrition (TPN), patient-controlled analgesia (PCA), and other high-risk medications
• Evaluate medication therapy, including renal dosing adjustments and drug interaction assessments
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff to optimize patient medication therapy
• Provide clinical pharmacy services such as antibiotic stewardship and anticoagulation monitoring
• Oversee pharmacy technicians and support workflow related to medication preparation
• Participate in medication reconciliation, medication safety monitoring, and quality improvement initiatives
• Manage automated dispensing cabinets like Pyxis and ensure compliance with hospital policies

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Active Ohio Pharmacist license required
• Proven inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• High proficiency with EPIC order entry system
• Competence in sterile IV preparation and compounding
• Strong clinical knowledge of inpatient medication therapies, especially in emergency department, infusion, and orthopedic specialties
