Workforce Success Specialist / Onboarding Specialist

Location: Remote

Schedule: Monday–Friday, typical business hours (8:00am–5:00pm)

Pay: $25.00/hour

Position Overview

Lakeshore Talent is seeking an Human Resources Onboarding Specialist for a client of ours. This role will support day-to-day operations for contractors on assignment across multiple client accounts. This role is responsible for managing high-volume onboarding, maintaining accurate documentation, supporting contractor relationships, and ensuring compliance and consistency across accounts.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and experienced in staffing, HR operations, and workforce systems. This role requires strong written and verbal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage onboarding of new contractors by gathering and validating all required legal documentation in alignment with client policies
\n
• Verify employment documentation (including I-9 and E-Verify requirements where applicable)
\n
• Initiate, monitor, and adjudicate background check reports
\n
• Assist contractors with new hire paperwork and system setup
\n
• Track and manage contractor assignments, including time and expense entry within VMS (Vendor Management Systems) platforms
\n
• Capture and maintain accurate data across multiple systems to ensure database integrity
\n
• Monitor onboarding progress and proactively communicate updates to internal and external stakeholders
\n
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Client Services, Payroll, Compliance, and Implementation teams
\n
• Track and report missing documentation according to client requirements
\n
• Maintain structured, organized records and process documentation for each account
\n
• Provide ongoing contractor care throughout assignments, including regular outreach and relationship management
\n
• Assist contractors with updates to personal or assignment information in relevant systems
\n
• Distribute reporting data on a regular cadence, ensuring accuracy and audit readiness
\n
• Support hiring managers with communication regarding policies and procedures
\n
• Deliver a high-quality experience to both contractors and clients
\n

Required Qualifications

\n
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
\n
• Prior experience in staffing, workforce solutions, or HR operations
\n
• Hands-on experience with HRIS systems (required)
\n
• Experience working within Vendor Management Systems (VMS) such as Fieldglass, Beeline, or similar platforms (required)
\n
• Experience maintaining databases and managing contractor records
\n
• Familiarity with CRM platforms (Freshdesk experience is a plus)
\n
• Experience in a high-volume ennironment
\n
• Ability to manage and learn new technology with ease; managing multiple systems on a day-to-day basis.
