As a Line/Prep Cook, you are responsible for creating that unforgettable guest experience through the proper preparation of beautiful and delicious tacos! You are responsible for upholding the utmost standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety at all times. You will be a member of a cohesive team that supports each other's success in a fast-paced environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Understanding our culture of quality food and great customer service and doing whatever it takes to create a positive and memorable guest experience.
- Prepare raw ingredients and follow strict recipes.
- Use proper portioning techniques.
- Read tickets to determine what/when items need to be prepared.
- Clean station floors, counters, tools, cutting boards, and preparation surfaces to ensure stations are clean and sanitized at all times.
- Maintain foods at proper temperatures according to state food safety regulations.

Requirements:
- Ability to understand and follow direction from others.
- Ability to read recipes and memorize and replicate food production procedures.
- Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced work environment.
- Skill and coordination with kitchen utensils and equipment.
- Ability to listen, understand, and respond to employees' requests in a loud environment.
- Reliable transportation
- Comfortable working on your feet for full shift
- Reliable and hardworking
- Bilingual English and Spanish fluency is preferred but not required
TACO NACO KC is a local minority-owned Mexican market and taqueria in downtown Overland Park, Kansas and Westport in Kansas City, Missouri. We offer a chef's modern Mexican flair to street tacos, tostadas, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and margaritas.
