Description:
Medical Technologist/Clinical Lab Scientist position available for an EPIC conversion project.
The role involves receiving laboratory specimens and ensuring specimen identity and acceptability.
You will enter orders for laboratory testing into the Lab Information System.
Demographic and insurance information needs to be entered into the patient registration system.
Prepare specimens for analysis and referral to outside reference laboratories.
Answer telephone inquiries related to specimen requirements, test availability, and specimen testing status.
Provide laboratory results as needed.
Ensure that all storage requirements are met for specimens.
