Job Summary: 

Do you love caring for young children in a fun and safe environment? The Childcare Attendant is responsible for the personal needs of children ages 2 months to 6 years (feeding, sleeping, diapering), and for various children's activities such as art, story time, games, and outside play. 

Job Specifications: 

• Starting Wage: $20.00/hr - $23.00/hr  

• Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2026/2027  

• Shift Type: Full Time and Part Time hours available 

• Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age  

• Housing Availability: Yes 

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide a pleasant, safe and clean environment suitable for children and staff
• Accountable to Child Care Manager, ad Assistant Child Care Manager
• Work with children to provide a pleasant experience including games, feeding, and changing
• Comply with all State Regulations including required training and education
• Eat Lunch with the children; feed younger children according to parent schedule
• Diaper children, assist in toilet training
• Supervised by Teacher, Head Teacher, or Manager. 

Job Requirements:

• Ability to handle a fast paced environment
• Ability to speak to the children at eye level
• Ability to follow all procedures and guidelines as outlined in the staff manual
• Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times

Physical Demands (to include, but not limited to the following):

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to handle climate changes and dress appropriately for  outdoor activities
• Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, lift, tumble, jump, skip, hop and dance for long periods of time

Qualifications:

A trainee is able to comprehend basic written format and meets one of the following qualifications:

• High School Diploma, or GED
• Rest of education can be met within 12 months
• Experience working with groups of children ages 18 months to 5 years

The expected pay range is $20.00/hr - $23.00/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
