Outpatient Occupational Therapist OR Physical Therapist | Lymphedema

Avera Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Outpatient Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist specializing in lymphedema to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment for adults with lymphedema and related conditions in an outpatient setting, helping patients improve function, manage swelling, and enhance their overall quality of life.
Working collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, and other rehabilitation professionals, you will perform detailed assessments, develop individualized plans of care, and deliver evidence-based interventions including manual lymphatic drainage, compression bandaging, exercise prescription, skin care education, and functional training. You will educate patients and families on long‑term self‑management strategies, coordinate care across disciplines, and advocate for appropriate equipment and follow‑up services.
You will document all care in the electronic medical record in a timely and accurate manner, monitor progress toward goals, and adjust treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient needs. You will participate in case conferences, quality improvement initiatives, and program development activities to support and grow Avera Health’s outpatient lymphedema services. This position is ideal for an Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist who is passionate about oncology and vascular rehabilitation, chronic condition management, and patient education. Prior lymphedema experience or completion of a formal lymphedema course is preferred; clinicians who are motivated to develop expertise in this specialty and pursue Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) credentials are strongly encouraged to apply.
