Special Procedures/Unit Details : General Medicine/Telemetry (C6-1) MedStar Georgetown University Hospital's 16-bed General Medicine/Telemetry Unit cares for adult patients with complex, wide-ranging, multisystem diagnoses, including those needing continuous pulse oximetry and telemetry. This unit can accommodate patients that may require close observation, it typically blends general medicine care and other specialized disciplines to provide comprehensive care to patients. Nurses will collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to manage the overall care of the patient. Please note in a 6-week schedule, 6 weekends are required, weekend shifts are considered Saturday (AM or PM) or Sunday (AM or PM). EKG test required during orientation, must pass to work on unit.
