Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our dishes are prepared to the highest standards, contributing to the overall success of our kitchen and dining experience.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and marinating.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times.
Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
Participate in menu planning and development as needed.
Support the Dietary department by preparing meals that meet dietary restrictions and preferences.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within the food industry.
Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques.
Knowledge of food preparation methods, safety standards, and sanitation practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
A passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn new techniques or cuisines.
Previous experience in catering or as a dietary aide is a plus.
