Position Overview

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced HVAC/R Maintenance Technician for an opportunity in the Brandon/Valrico area.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems, with experience performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and completing mechanical repairs in a commercial or large-facility environment.

Job Responsibilities

Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC and refrigeration systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues related to HVAC equipment.
Inspect, maintain, and service heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment.
Respond to maintenance requests and address equipment malfunctions.
Assist with maintaining building mechanical systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Complete assigned maintenance tasks while following established safety procedures.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of HVAC/R service or maintenance experience required.
Experience working with commercial HVAC systems strongly preferred.
Experience maintaining HVAC equipment in large commercial facilities is a plus.
Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS) preferred.
Experience with high-rise HVAC systems is a plus.
EPA certification required.
Additional refrigeration certifications are a plus.
High school diploma or GED preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.

Compensation

$22.00-$25.00 per hour , depending on experience and qualifications.
