Growth Hacker Intern, AIClub Research Program

Job Description

About us: AIClub's Research Program pairs middle and high school students with PhD mentors to design original AI/CS research projects — the kind that lead to publications, patents, and wins at competitions like Synopsys, JSHS, and the Congressional App Challenge. We're looking for a growth hacker intern to help more students and parents discover the program.

\n
• Design and run experiments to drive qualified leads to our free consultation calls (our core conversion action)
\n
• Identify and test acquisition channels that reach our real audience: parents of ambitious middle/high schoolers, guidance counselors, STEM teachers, and student communities (Reddit's college-admissions forums, parent Facebook groups, school newsletters, etc.)
\n
• Optimize the funnel from landing page → consultation booking → enrollment, using our existing student wins, publications, and testimonials as proof points
\n
• A/B test messaging that speaks to different motivations (college admissions edge, genuine research passion, competition prep)
\n
• Mine our 390+ awards and 115+ publications for content angles — turn student success stories into shareable growth assets
\n
• Help build lightweight dashboards to track consultation bookings, cost per lead, and channel performance
\n
• Explore SEO opportunities around high-intent searches ("high school research mentor," "AI project for college applications," "Synopsys Science Fair help")
\n
• Support outreach to schools, counselors, and parent communities as a channel, not just paid/organic tactics
\n

\n
• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Business, Data Science, or a related field
\n
• High bar: we're looking for someone who's already run real experiments (personal projects, a prior internship, campus org growth, side hustles) — not just coursework
\n
• Genuine interest in education, EdTech, or the college-admissions space is a strong plus
\n
• Comfortable with data — basic spreadsheet/SQL analysis
\n
• Familiarity with Google Analytics, Meta/Google Ads, or SEO tools
\n
• Scrappy, experimental mindset — happy to test ideas fast, including unconventional channels like parent forums and school partnerships
\n
• Strong writing skills — you'll be translating technical student research into compelling, parent-friendly copy
\n
• Bonus: experience with no-code tools (Zapier, Webflow), email marketing, or working with Wix (our current site platform)
\n

\n
• Real experience growing a niche B2C/B2B2C funnel (parents making a high-consideration decision for their kids)
\n
• Direct exposure to a company founded and staffed by PhDs from Berkeley, Stanford, and Northeastern
\n
• A portfolio of experiments and case studies for future growth/marketing roles
\n
• Flexible, mentorship-driven environment
