VP, Director, Business Solutions

Job Description Summary: The VP, Director, Business Solutions oversees the Business Solutions team delivering industry‑leading services across marketing, consumer insights, channel planning, buying, analytics, and stewardship. The role applies knowledge of traditional and emerging media to guide comprehensive marketing strategy, establish best practices, nurture client relationships, develop the team, and act as a client advocate. Responsibilities 40% Client Relations – Advance client relationships, maintain positive rapport, and champion trust. 30% Strategic Leadership – Lead the Business Solutions team’s understanding of the client’s business, uncover motivations and needs, collaborate with the Managing Director on strategic marketing approaches, and guide the translation of client goals to the team, activation teams, and media partners. 20% Team Development – Manage professional team growth by instilling media principles, administering performance reviews, coaching, guiding development of deliverables, and overseeing the interview process for new candidates. 10% Stewardship – Oversee client contracts and staffing needs, ensure consistent and high‑quality client deliverables from the Brand Team, align Activation Team deliverables with media strategy, and maintain overall program cadence. Seek new media solutions to deliver on client goals, evaluate current business health via analysis of relevant metrics (ROI, A/S), and tap into Horizon resources and partner agencies to offer holistic business solutions. Develop internal and external processes and cadence for streamlined workflow, and ensure all members of the Brand Team deliver consistent, high‑quality work. Lead interview process for new candidates and manage performance reviews, coaching, and career development goals. Preferred Skills & Experience Minimum 10 years of experience developing strategic media recommendations. Strong leadership skills and experience developing a team of media professionals. Experience in a client relationship management role. Familiarity with marketing principles, problem solving, and analytics. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong presentation skills.
