About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required, strong telemetry experience preferred, or strong MedSurg experience. License: Valid state license required, pending licenses acceptable. Certifications: ACLS, BLS required. Must-Have: - Strong telemetry experience or MedSurg background. - Ability to manage drips and rhythms. - Must pass medication and EKG test. Description: The position involves providing nursing care on a telemetry-focused unit with oncology patients. The unit experiences a heavy telemetry patient load. Travelers must have strong medication and EKG management skills. Management of drips and interpretation of dysrhythmias is required. Traveler must agree to work every other weekend and holiday. Patient ratios on nights are 5:1. The daily census for the unit is approximately 23 patients. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Candidates will float within the facility or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed. Completion of required modules prior to the start of the assignment is necessary. Professional conduct is crucial, and any issues could result in contract termination. Candidates must live a minimum of 50 miles from the facility.
