Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients across all age groups, utilizing standardized assessments along with keen observational skills.
• Create individualized treatment strategies that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Implement targeted speech therapy interventions that focus on communication enhancement, language skills, fluency improvement, voice optimization, and swallowing support.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team comprised of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, family members, and caregivers to develop integrated care approaches.
• Provide educational resources to patients and families to sustain advances made during therapy sessions.
• Engage in the occasional inpatient therapy assessments, ensuring seamless care throughout the rehabilitation journey.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation that adheres to both regulatory and organizational standards.
• Keep abreast of new developments in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), pending ASHA certification.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) issued by ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification mandatory within the first month of employment.
