Description

• Assess patients across all ages utilizing standardized assessments alongside observation.
• Craft bespoke treatment plans targeting immediate objectives alongside long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Conduct personalized speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing techniques.
• Coordinate with a multidisciplinary team of physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to establish comprehensive care strategies.
• Educate patients and their families on techniques to further their progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless treatment experience.
• Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation in compliance with all relevant state, federal, and institutional regulations.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and engage with peers to stay current in the field.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
