Electrical Engineer I

This role will provide electrical engineering support to a dynamic engineering development team, decomposing test requirements, designing, integrating, and selling-off prime mission equipment and test stands, designing and executing first unit test, design verification test, integration, transitioning to full rate production, and sustaining complex digital, analog, RF, and optical circuit cards and modules. The successful candidate must possess strong technical aptitude, communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally within the hardware organization and with other engineering disciplines/functions. Must be able to exercise discretion and independent judgment in technical areas. This position may include the following activities:Design of analog, power, digital, and RF circuitsDesign of complex interconnects, cables, and test fixturesDesign of environmental controls for Environmental Stress ScreeningAgile hardware development, risk-reduction prototyping, and requirements-driven design and verificationKnowledge of engineering development processes for aero/defense industry, including designing and testing to MIL-STD-461State-of-the-art electrical engineering design/analysis/sim toolsStrong "hands-on" laboratory experience with instrumentation, equipment, and processesWorking experience with Interface standards including military/avionics communication buses (i.e. RS-85,Mil-Std-1553B, Ethernet)Interface with Engineering, Operations, Quality and other supporting functions to drive defect resolution to root causeGenerate and review the technical content of test procedures, drawings, engineering specifications, reports, Engineering Change Orders, and other documentationProvide training and support to technicians and manufacturing personnel as requiredSupport Root Cause and Corrective Action activitiesRequired Education, Experience, & SkillsTypically, a Bachelor's Degree, or 5 years work experience, or equivalent experienceFamiliarity with electronic components and test equipmentElectronics testing and troubleshootingBasic microwave TechnologyProcurement, tracking, assembly, and integration experienceDOD Security ClearancePreferred Education, Experience, & SkillsIndustrial temperature or better (automotive)CAD based schematic capture and simulationBasic test software design and integrationBasic test firmware design and integrationDemonstrated design execution successPay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $70828 - $120408 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
