Registered Nurse - First Assist (RNFA)

Role Overview: Provides advanced perioperative care as a first assistant during surgeries, collaborating with surgeons and the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes. Responsibilities Assists during intraoperative procedures, performing pre-operative assessments and communicating patient outcomes. Contributes to team efficiency by planning, delivering, and evaluating patient care, considering safety, effectiveness, and cost. Monitors patient responses, adjusts care plans, administers medications, and manages perioperative interventions. Engages in professional development, ethics, and research integration, advocating for patient safety and professional growth. Provides patient and family education throughout the perioperative process. Qualifications RN license with 2-5 years of nursing experience. CNOR certification required; Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred. Preferred: Certified First Assistant and RNFA credentials.
