Accounting Associate

LHH is partnering with a global, private equity management company that is looking to add an Accounting Associate to their team. The team is exceptional and the culture top notch with total AUM for the org north of $50B. An ideal candidate with have a background in public accounting, and either direct experience with or a genuine interest in alternative investments. Unique chance to join a prestigious organization. Responsibilities: Support day-to-day accounting and operational activities across credit funds, including investment onboarding, funding, and ongoing portfolio maintenance Coordinate with third-party administrators to review and validate NAVs, capital activity, investor allocations, management fees, and financial statements Assist with cash management activities, liquidity tracking, and monitoring of bank facilities and borrowing arrangements Participate in portfolio valuation processes for loans and other credit-related instruments Help prepare materials and data for audits, regulatory filings, and examinations related to credit vehicles Maintain and reconcile investment, fund, and investor data across internal systems and administrator reports to ensure data accuracy and consistency Contribute to the buildout and refinement of reporting tools and dashboards used by investment and risk teams Act as a point of support for system implementations and enhancements related to portfolio management, reporting, and data workflows Respond to internal and external data requests, including investor and fundraising-related inquiries Identify opportunities to improve documentation, controls, and operational efficiency through process enhancements and standardization Assist with ad hoc analyses tied to portfolio performance, fund metrics, and operational initiatives Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 1–3 years of experience in accounting, fund operations, credit operations, or a related environment; exposure to private credit or alternative investments is a plus Comfort working with financial systems, databases, and large datasets; interest in technology-enabled reporting is important Experience with BI or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) is helpful but not required Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills Highly detail-oriented with the ability to synthesize data into clear, usable insights Organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proactive communicator with a collaborative mindset and willingness to learn Benefits Overview: Benefit offerings for full-time employment include medical, dental, vision, term life and AD&D insurance, short-term and long-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, wellness plans, and a 401k plan Personal Time Off (PTO) is offered on an accrual basis up to 20 days (initially), 11 Paid Holidays, and up to 6 weeks of Paid Parental Leave (1+ years of employment).
