Riggs Washington DC sits on the iconic downtown corner of Penn Quarter's 9th and F Street in a historic building once home to Riggs National Bank. Each of the Hotel's 181 guest rooms offers a playful nod to the building's legacy. Riggs is home to the all-occasion European brasserie-inspired restaurant Caf Riggs, as well as Silver Lyan a subterranean bar from the internationally acclaimed Ryan Chetiyawardana, also known as Mr Lyan.

We're looking for an Accounts Associate to join us at Riggs Washington DC. As Accounts Associate, you'll support the day-to-day finance operations of a property where every detail counts, working closely with our Director of Finance on everything from accounts receivable to journal entries and collections. If you're precise, organised, and ready to bring your hotel accounting experience somewhere truly special, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do:

Cost accounting & journal entries

Perform general cost accounting duties, maintain Finance reports, and prepare and post journal entries accurately.

Accounts receivable & payments

Post payments and group deposits, manage A/R accounts, and handle credit card chargeback requests within merchant deadlines.

Collections & account monitoring

Make collection calls on accounts over 30 days, log all results, and flag potential issues at weekly credit meetings with the Finance team.

What You'll Bring:

• 12 years of hotel accounting experience

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

• Ability to work confidently under deadline pressure

• Experience with payroll, invoicing, and collections

Pay Range: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
