We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a small team in Pennsylvania. This position is suited for an accounting specialist who can manage core financial activities, support accurate reporting, and contribute to the day-to-day stability of the organization’s accounting function. The ideal candidate brings solid hands-on experience across transactional accounting and month-end processes, along with the ability to work independently in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure financial records are accurate, complete, and up to date.
• Prepare journal entries, support month-end close activities, and assist with the production of timely financial statements.
• Oversee accounts payable processing, including invoice review, coding, and payment coordination.
• Manage accounts receivable tasks by tracking incoming payments, monitoring balances, and following up on outstanding items.
• Perform account reconciliations regularly to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.
• Support corporate tax and sales tax activities by organizing data, preparing documentation, and assisting with filings.
• Help strengthen accounting operations by improving accuracy, consistency, and overall workflow effectiveness.• 5+ years of accounting experience in a staff accountant, senior accountant, or similar role.
• Strong working knowledge of general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Experience preparing financial statements and supporting month-end close processes.
• Practical experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Familiarity with corporate tax and sales tax processes.
• Ability to work effectively in a small office setting with a high level of ownership and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple accounting priorities accurately and on time.
