Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

The Machine Operator sets up and operates a variety of automated, high-speed production lines that manufacture disposable products used in healthcare and other professional environments. In this role, you lead a small team on the line, work hands-on with complex machinery, and stay constantly attentive to machine controls, equipment performance, and the quality of the finished products.

Pay: $23/hr

Shift: 4:00pm - 2:00am, Monday - Friday

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate automated production lines in accordance with work instructions and product documentation.
• Lead and guide the production line team to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent machine operation.
• Monitor machine controls and equipment performance to maintain high-quality output and identify issues early.
• Make equipment adjustments as needed to ensure defect-free products and minimize downtime.
• Perform basic troubleshooting on machines to resolve production issues and maintain throughput.
• Maintain the work area in a clean, organized, and safe condition throughout the shift.
• Communicate promptly and clearly with Maintenance to report equipment problems and support quick resolution.
• Follow all established policies, rules, and regulations, including lock-out tag-out procedures and safe machine practices.
• Complete required quality and production paperwork accurately and on time.
• Read and interpret basic production documentation and related instructions to support correct machine setup and operation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with automated or high-speed production equipment.
• Experience in general production or manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with reading and understanding blueprints or technical diagrams.
• Experience completing quality documentation or production records.
• Mechanical skills or prior work involving mechanical troubleshooting.

Work Environment

This role is based in a manufacturing setting that combines older equipment with high-speed automated machines. You work on and around production lines, interacting directly with mechanical and automated systems throughout your shift. The environment is fast-paced and production-focused, with an emphasis on safety procedures and keeping work areas clean and orderly.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Middleborough, MA.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Middleborough,MA.
