Dream Team Family Dentistry & Oral Surgery is seeking an experienced Dental Front Office Coordinator to join our growing practice in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

This is a patient-facing position requiring genuine dental-office knowledge. The right candidate will understand dental terminology, scheduling, treatment coordination, insurance, and the importance of maintaining a productive schedule while providing exceptional service.

Previous dental-office experience is required. General medical reception experience without dental knowledge will not meet the requirements for this position.

Compensation

$20–$25 per hour , based on dental front-office experience, insurance knowledge, scheduling ability, software proficiency, and overall qualifications.

Responsibilities:

• Greet patients warmly and create a professional, welcoming experience.
• Answer incoming calls and respond appropriately to patient questions.
• Schedule new-patient, hygiene, treatment, emergency, and postoperative appointments.
• Maintain productive doctor and hygiene schedules.
• Fill cancellations and open appointment times through proactive patient communication.
• Confirm appointments and help reduce cancellations and no-shows.
• Verify dental-insurance eligibility, benefits, limitations, and frequencies.
• Explain estimated patient portions and collect payments.
• Present treatment plans clearly and help patients schedule recommended care.
• Follow up with patients who have unscheduled treatment or overdue hygiene appointments.
• Enter and update patient demographics, insurance information, and account notes accurately.
• Communicate effectively with doctors, hygienists, assistants, insurance companies, and patients.
• Protect patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.
• Assist with other front-office and administrative duties as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Previous front-office experience in a dental practice.
• Working knowledge of dental terminology and common dental procedures.
• Experience with dental scheduling and patient communication.
• Familiarity with dental insurance, benefit verification, and patient financial estimates.
• Strong telephone, customer-service, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Professional communication and appearance.
• Dependable attendance and careful attention to detail.
• Ability to remain calm, helpful, and organized in a busy office.

Experience with Dentrix Ascend, treatment coordination, insurance claims, accounts receivable, recall systems, or oral-surgery scheduling is highly desirable.
