ABOUT THE ROLE

Sauls Seismic, a division of Argus Monitoring Solutions is a trusted name in seismic monitoring with field operations across the country. We are currently hiring for a Seismograph Technician position based in Kansas City, MO & surrounding areas This is a hands-on, field-based role, you’ll be on the front lines of active job sites, placing and managing monitoring equipment near blast zones, collecting precise data, and professionally representing the company in the field.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up, operate, and relocate seismograph equipment at field sites
• Perform routine maintenance and prepare equipment for calibration
• Communicate with property owners to gain site access and install monitoring equipment
• Download seismic data, compare it with blast logs, and submit accurate reports
• Use GPS and mapping tools to document equipment placement
• Maintain data integrity and field-level accuracy at all times
• Proactively support teammates when individual tasks are complete
• Represent Sauls Seismic professionally in all client and community interactions

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and required insurance
• Successfully pass background & drug screening
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to learn new software
• Basic understanding of seismograph equipment and GPS units
• Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 68 pounds
• Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills
• Ability to work in outdoor environments across varied weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate data collection

Preferred (but not required):

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous experience in a technical field

WORK ENVIRONMENT & SCHEDULE
