About the Position

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – NICU Level IV – Wisconsin

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Schedule: Evening/Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM. Monday through Friday with 2-3 weekend shifts required per 6-week scheduling period (4-6 weekend shifts per contract based on unit needs).

• Comprehensive patient population including post-operative neonates, cardiac surgery, neurologic disorders, and medically complex infants
• Advanced technology including multiple ventilator modes (NAVA, Draeger, Servo, oscillators), whole body cooling (Arctic Sun), and aEEG monitoring
• Epic charting system with 24 hours of orientation
• Patient-centered care model with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and specialty consult services
• Float rotation to pediatric units caring for patients less than 12 months of age, including PICU

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of total NICU Level III/IV experience required
• At least 1 full year of Level IV NICU experience required (hard stop requirement)
• Experience with post-operative patients, g-tubes, trach/vent management, and various modes of invasive/noninvasive ventilation
• Active RN license (Wisconsin or compact state)
• BLS and NRP certifications required (AHA only); PALS preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Must pass telemetry competency exam with strict passing criteria (80% overall, 100% on lethal rhythms)
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
