Job Details

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures
• Monitor and assess patient vital signs, airway status, pain levels, and overall recovery progress
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed
• Identify and respond promptly to post-operative complications and changes in patient condition
• Educate patients and families regarding recovery expectations and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection control, and quality care standards
• Support a smooth and safe transition from the operating room to discharge or inpatient care

Requirements

• Active RN License in North Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of recent PACU, Critical Care, ICU, or Post-Anesthesia nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS Certifications required
• PALS certification preferred
• Strong patient assessment and post-operative care skills
• Excellent critical thinking and communication abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced recovery environment
• Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care
