Summary Responsible for scheduling service technicians to perform tire repairs and replacement as needed. Responsible for maintaining commercial tire inventory, including receiving and removing tires into and out of inventory; as well as other duties as assigned by the Store Manager. Essential Tasks and Responsibilities Provide customer service by greeting and assisting customers and responding to customer inquiries and complaints. Schedule service work in response to customer requirements both at the store and service road calls at the customer’s worksite. Monitor service activities to ensure that customers receive satisfactory service and quality goods. Inventory stock and reorder when inventory drops to a specified level. Assist other staff handling difficult and complicated sales. Enforce safety, health, and security rules. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Communication – Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. Talking to others to convey information effectively. Customer and Personal Service – Including but not limited to customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Sales and Marketing – Including but not limited to marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems. Safety and Physical Demands This position operates in all types of indoor and outdoor work environments, therefore exposure to heat and cold is to be expected. The employee may be required to stand for long hours while working at the service counter; stools may or may not be available. The employee must regularly lift up to 50 pounds and frequently lift/move more than 100 pounds. Education High school diploma or equivalent as well as a minimum of two years’ experience at a tire/auto repair facility are required.
