Job Description

As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for assessing the condition of received damaged or worn airframe components and entering findings into the repair database. You will research technical data to support repairs, including maintenance manuals and engineering drawings, perform inspections of completed airframe work, and handle FAA/EASA Return to Service documentation. Additionally, you will provide technical information to engineers for developing repairs outside the approved data scope when required, and perform inspection and repair actions per company and FAA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assess the condition of received damaged or worn airframe components and enter findings into the repair database.
• Research technical data in support of repairs including maintenance manuals, engineering drawings, and other sources.
• Perform inspections of completed airframe work.
• Handle FAA/EASA Return to Service documentation.
• Provide technical information to engineers for development of repairs outside of approved data scope when required.
• Perform inspection/repair actions per company and FAA requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 4 years experience with civilian airframe maintenance.
• In-depth knowledge of FAR Part 145, Part 43 and other regulations applicable to repair station operations.
• Skilled in researching and interpreting maintenance data and repair related prints/drawings.
• Skilled in the use of inspection tooling related to the responsibilities described.
• Intermediate level computer skills including use of MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel.
• High level written composition skills for correspondence, documentation, and technical instructions.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
• FAA Airframe license required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Current certification at Level II Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection a plus.
• Experience with RTC - Return to Service, Flight Controls, Thrust reverser.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Bloomfield, CT.

Pay and Benefits
