The Experienced Legal Secretary plays a vital role in supporting legal professionals by managing administrative tasks essential to smooth law office operations. This position requires proficiency in legal terminology, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive information.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and format legal documents accurately and efficiently
- Manage attorneys' calendars and schedule appointments
- Communicate effectively with clients, courts, and other parties
- Maintain organized filing and recordkeeping systems
- Draft routine and detailed correspondence
- Assist with case management activities and document tracking
- Ensure strict confidentiality of all legal and client information
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience in legal administration
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with document management systems
- Excellent typing and transcription skills
- Effective communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Strong time management abilities
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality
