Travel ICU Registered Nurse Job Details\n \n Setting: ICU / Critical Care Float Pool \n Location: Washington, DC \n Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) \n Contract Duration: 13 weeks \n Weekly Hours: 36 hours \n Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts \n Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,770–$1,860 \n Start Date: 10/12/2026 \n Weekend Coverage: Required \n Floating: MICU, SICU, Neuro ICU, CVICU, CVSICU, IMC, and ED/PACU for ICU/IMC boarders \n Orientation: 28 hours \n ICU Nurse Job Requirements\n \n Active Registered Nurse license for Washington, DC required at time of submission \n Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience required \n At least 1 previous travel nurse assignment required \n ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required \n Experience with Cerner preferred \n Strong background in critical care nursing procedures and management of ventilated, hemodynamically unstable, and neurologically complex patients \n Must be comfortable with rotating assignments across ICU and intermediate care settings \n Flu vaccination required; COVID-19 vaccination not required \n Ability to provide 2 supervisory references, including one from the most recent assignment \n Critical Care RN Responsibilities\n \n Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced ICU environment \n Float across multiple intensive care and intermediate care units based on staffing needs \n Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, collaborating closely with the interdisciplinary care team \n Perform advanced ICU nursing interventions, including management of vents, drips, lines, and other critical care therapies \n Support patients with neurological, surgical, medical, trauma, and thoracic diagnoses \n Maintain strong alarm management and team-oriented communication at all times \n Document accurately and efficiently in accordance with unit standards \n Follow all compliance, onboarding, and module completion requirements prior to start \n \n Apply now to join this Washington, DC travel nursing opportunity and advance your career in critical care today.
