Key Responsibilities

• Advise high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners on comprehensive estate, trust, tax, and succession planning strategies.
• Draft and review sophisticated estate planning documents, including wills, revocable trusts, irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and related wealth transfer instruments.
• Counsel clients regarding estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning.
• Handle trust and estate administration matters, including post-death planning and fiduciary guidance.
• Collaborate with clients' financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to develop customized wealth preservation strategies.

Qualifications / Nice to Have

Must Have

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active Illinois Bar membership in good standing.
• 5+ years of trusts and estates experience.
• Experience advising high-net-worth individuals and families.
• Experience drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and sophisticated estate planning documents.
• Knowledge of federal and state estate, gift, and trust tax laws.

Nice to Have

• Estate and trust administration experience.
